It definitley started out as good photo reference. I found a pose I liked and then a head and face and the outfit was from some Halloween dress up type store but I did paint it after I "Frankensteined" it together. I have some close ups I can post but not WIP's or anything. Most of what I do in realistic portraits is done that way. The Hooters girl was done like that as well. Found a body pose and then a face and then some hair styles from actual photos and then pieced them together and painted it that way.

So you collaged some photographs together and used them as reference, not using photoparts in your work?

yes. Sometimes that works good but you do still need to pay attention to lighting in the overall design. Doing this speeds up the process quite a bit for me. Most of what I do is for t-shirt so I always have a time limit. I found this a good way to get results in a faster time than if I were to start from scratch.
